Just Completed setting up our Online Education, well the structure. I’ll be conducting my courses via our “Home Office“. I’ve yet to add other instructors as well as my own courses. You can signup now for our my HomeBASE Web Database Application, and very shortly my HomeBASE Papas Recipes.
While most training is done via you attending a session near you, when it’s available. And then, besides driving, you have to sit in a conference room and perhaps view a tiny tutorial on your pc.
My courses will be provided “Home Style”, this includes a live “Go To Meeting” for each session. Click on the link for basics.
We, and hopefully you, can also use your “mirroring” to watch us and/or our videos in the comfort of your own home. This affords better viewing and listening to us and the other meeting attendees during the question and answer session.
Then, watch it on your Widescreen TV, relaxing on the couch with a cup of coffee, soda or water. Simply a better way. We also offer a personalized, one-on-one session for students as well as our customers .. that is the option to do a Remote Desktop session (on our computer or yours)

The Main Menu has 2 new items, that is Student Registration as wall as a “Login/Logout”. Since no one has enrolled yet, don’t worry about using that option (lol).
My HomeBASE Web Database Application is a complete 4 month course .. as you would for any traditional school semester. I’m already planning on having a summer course, tentatively planned to begin this summer. However, I still have to develop a my course content.

I also have to now setup some of the features and functions specific to our school, as well as broadcast our new service. I will be seeing people to teach their own courses too. So, more time and more work, eh?
The goal is to enable a the student to do his/her site similar to what I’ve setup, WordPress Site, integrated Web Applications such as the products (yours) that I’ve got linked into my site.
The course will NOT teach you how to do/use any of the tools, as they are available free or via many commercial educations. I will assist you in dealing with the tool training, i.e. classes, questions, etc.
Course Outline
There are lots of sites that can be used for building websites, using application tools, and hosting websites, but some are very limited and can be expensive to setup and run, i.e., $1,000+ for your home desk and $1,000/month to use a host provider for your web database applications.
Depending on your needs, it can be free or relatively inexpensive. Naturally, all of today’s technology offer “What You Pay for Is What You Get”.
I, as your Instructor, will bring help you manage the solution, your application, over an 8 week period. Each Online Class will be available via “Get Connected“, similar to a Webinar. The Class will be 1 hour, each week. During that class, The first hour, Class 1, will be spent on a presentation and discussion of the overall approach as well as the factors to be considered in proceeding with your Website and Needs to be Accomplished. I will present the considerations for the coming week’s session.
So, Week 1 begins with a real world situation that fits “your needs”, and evolves from conception to implementation. The student will be doing lots and lots of real work to proceed thru each week (phase). Let me warn you that you will be graded on both your project as well as your Final Exam. However, your real grading is more about your skills and ability at the end of the course.
Naturally, simple or limited applications are readily available and easier to build. In either case, I will help you along each step of the way. I too have spent lots of wasted time, evaluating approaches that didn’t pan out, even thou I thought I know where to go/what to look for (lol)
While the more sophisticated/1,000 online simultaneous user applications will limit/dictate the available solutions.

I will be setting up a special forum here, for Registered Visitors, which will provide immediate access to our related Forums. The Forums will allow users to use it for our courses and custom work. Naturally, students will have access to our Training Forums/Tech Support Forums, and FAQ Blog for Class Sessions, as well as submission of homework, as well as to post questions. BTW, I do answer calls and from students and especially customers.
*NOTE: Individual Training Sessions and/or Remote Support are also available via Remote Deskop. This provides a “hands on” approach and is only limited to the first hour ($40/hour prepaid). This is my “introductory offer” for early joiners. If and when demand increases, so too will our rates.
The benefit is simply that you get to do on my desktop together with me, setting up and adding many of the features to your site and enhancements. Naturally, this is more focused on people especially using WordPress and FileMaker Pro. Since I have already many prebuilt applications together with my enhancements, the user can get right to it all. For those students needing assistance, we can access the online sites directly together, while we do what’s necessary, i.e., setup your WordPress, and install any/all of the plugins, i.e, builtin or commercial plugins, Setup new host for your WordPress if the student doesn’t have one, etc.. We can also register for any/all of the online database tools, etc.
