Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is a classic recipe and this recipe has the most rich mushroom sauce for the beef flavor, and the technique is to create super tender beef within the recipe. I make this ahead for dinner parties, it’s an amazing recipe, classic in style and preparation. Inexpensive pieces of beef is the best for this recipe because of the flavor you get, and they get tender with the technique I use during the preparation. Once you make this, I bet you will always bring this out for your family or friend dinners. It also keeps really well as a leftover beef dish, stored in the fridge or freezer.

  1. add 3 tbsp butter in heavy skillet, then add onions and sauté slowly until transparent. Then set aside
  2. Turn to medium heat, add beef and cook briefly turning to brown on all sides, then set aside with onions
  3. add remaining butter and stir in the mushrooms. Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg, then whisk in sour cream (do NOT boil), Add beef and onion just to heat thru.
  4. Serve over egg noodles
